Welcome to Telegraph Hill in San Francisco, California!

The frigid fingers of Pacific fog sliding over the Golden Gate Bridge and into the Bay... view from Coit Tower.

Greenwich Street, around the corner from my apartment... looking up toward Coit Tower.

The view of my neighborhood North Beach from the top of Greenwich Street.

The fog moving into San Francisco yet staying pleasantly far enough away from North Beach.

The American flag waving in front of a river of fog sliding into the Bay from the Pacific to the west... from Pioneer Park/Coit Tower.

Coit Tower.

Bottle brush plant.

The view of Downtown San Francisco from Pioneer Park/Coit Tower.

The Filbert Steps on Telegraph Hill that descend from Coit Tower to Montgomery Street. Wherever streets are too steep for cars in San Francisco they just turn that section of street into steps.

The Bay Bridge connecting San Francisco to the East Bay on the other side.

A lovely Spanish style house with Coit Tower in the background next to the Filbert Steps.

A cruise ship at the pier. My neighborhood is quite close to the famous tourist area of Pier 39.

The steps I often take from the waterfront area of the Embarcadero up and over Telegraph Hill into North Beach. It's quite a mountain to climb!

The sign says it all!

The sleek lines of a Mercedes curving toward the TransAmerica Pyramid as it rises above the intersection of Montgomery and Union Streets.

A creepy statue atop a balcony in Telegraph Hill on Montgomery Street.

Parking rules in Telegraph Hill, should you ever need to know!

The scenic view of the Financial District from Telegraph Hill.

Me at Montgomery and Union Streets.

The only sort of car you should drive in San Francisco if you ever want to find parking in less than half an hour!

The Vallejo Steps @ Montgomery/Vallejo Streets. I love my neighborhood!

Crazy little putt-putt mobiles that you can rent and drive around San Francisco.

At the base of Telegraph Hill commences the Financial District and a small neighborhood of brick buildings which are quite atypical for San Francisco.

The Telegraph Hill/Financial District transition neighborhood. (North Beach??)

Quaint architecture on Jackson Street.

The TransAmerica Pyramid rising majestically above Hotaling Street next to the Financial District.

The base of the TransAmerica Pyramid near my office.

The TransAmerica pyramid awash in sunlight as fog moves in elsewhere in the city.
