Me, Allison and Masami at Justin Herman Plaza along the Embarcadero in San Francisco awaiting the Olympic torch relay which, apparently, had been rerouted outside of downtown toward the Golden Gate Bridge. It was a beautiful day to be out in the sun and the music and the protests regardless!

Interestingly, many of the Chinese flag wavers also had American flags in hand... presumably to represent the warm fuzzy feelings of pro-Americanism vis-a-vis Chinese politics in Tibet and Darfur?

Unexpectedly, a Free Burma group descended upon the plaza as well!

And the obligatory pro-Darfur contingent. Perhaps the protesters should also call into question the Arab Sudanese leadership and not just the Chinese who are largely external to the whole Darfur issue.
